Here's how:
1) Audition for a part!
JOIN US ONSTAGE FOR ONE OF OUR UPCOMING PRODUCTIONS.
The play for May is “GOONEY BIRD GREENE”!! This is one of the
funniest, imaginative stories I have ever read. The play version is
based on the 2002 book by Lois Lowry. Borrow a copy at the library
and see why this is going to be a very special play that encourages
creative writing!
A cast of 25 kids is needed. (You should look like you could be in the
4th grade. You can be older or younger, but you must be about this
size!)
There are 5-6 adults needed to play the teacher, Gooney Bird’s
parents, and a few other characters in her life. NO TEEN PARTS THIS
TIME—unless you’d like to stage manage. (Sorry!)
AUDITIONS: March 1 (Mon), 3 (Wed) 6:30-8:30 p.m.
St. Andrews Episcopal Church
Call Backs: March 4th
We will read from the script pages. Bring a recent school picture of
yourself. This production may be taken to a couple area schools
(afternoon performances) in May.
2) Be a member of the crew for a production
3) Participate by giving donations / contributions
Kids' Backporch Productions is a non-profit arts / education
organization.
