WHO WE ARE

Kids’ Backporch Productions was started in Pearland, Texas in 2005 with the intention of bringing theatre to the community. Our very first show was Winnie the Pooh, and we’ve been making magic ever since!

KBP has served thousands of students in the Greater Houston area, worked with more than 25 instructors and directors, and is currently completing our 100th production in the summer of 2025.

We are a parent-led organization, with the help of a couple of theatrical professionals in the area. Our current mission is to provide educational theatre to students ages 6-18 through productions, internships, stage management, and other opportunities. KBP also provides opportunities for college-aged students in internships and directing opportunities.
